Covid 19 Protocol

POLICY AND PROCEDURE UPDATES RELATED TO COVID-19 SAFETY

While COVID-19 is still present in our community, our office suite will operate with these changes to standard policies and procedures to protect therapist and client safety.

  • Entry by appointment only: Please call ahead to make an appointment.
  • Late cancellations: We will waive the late cancellation policy (less than 24 hours notice) for anyone who develops a fever or symptoms of illness.  Please call as soon as you feel unwell and we will cancel your appointment without charging a fee.
  • Client Guests: At this time we will not allow guests to wait for clients in the waiting room.  Parent or legal guardian will excepted by prior arrangement.
  • Pre-session screening: Please review the screening symptom checklist 24 hours before your massage appointment and contact your therapist if you have any concerns ahead of time.  We will also provide an information and consent for treatment form by email that we ask that you review carefully, fill out, print and bring to your appointment.

Arrival procedure:  We have developed a plan to ensure the safety of clients, therapists, and building tenants at the WPI building, 9500 Roosevelt Way NE.

  • We ask that you wait in your car until your scheduled time and not come early to your appointment.  We ask that you do not wait in the waiting room.
  • You will need a facemask to enter the building. Once you have entered the treatment area, we would like to provide a surgical mask for you to wear for the duration of your appointment.  You can wear this mask over your own mask if you prefer.
  • We will ask that you stop at the restroom to wash your hands.  Please note that entryways, hallways, elevators and restrooms are cleaned by the owner of the building and are not fully under our control. Please use extra caution.
  • We will ask you to then use alcohol-based hand sanitizer that we have on the table in the waiting room before you enter the treatment room.
  • We will take your temperature with a no-touch thermal temperature reader to make sure you don’t have a fever (100.4 or greater).  We will also take our own temperatures daily.
  • To complete the arrival procedure we will have you read and fill out a symptom checklist and answer a few questions about your recent activities.  If you have a fever or other COVID-like symptoms, we will reschedule your appointment, at least 14 days out.
  • While COVID-19 is present in the community we will limit talking during the treatment to communication necessary for ensuring a comfortable and safe massage.

If you develop symptoms of illness or test positive for COVID-19 within two weeks of your massage session, please call us immediately as your name and contact information will need to be shared with the Department of Health for their follow-up and to get recommendations about how to proceed – with quarantine and/or testing for clients seen and therapists working at our facility. We will contact you if anyone in our office tests positive for COVID-19.

Thank you for taking time to read this information. If you have questions or concerns that are not addressed here, please feel free to ask your therapist. We are committed to your safety and well-being and look forward to providing a therapeutic and enjoyable massage session.
